Sigmund Rascher was a German SS doctor during World War II who conducted cruel and unethical medical experiments on prisoners at the Dachau concentration camp. He was known for conducting experiments on hypothermia, high-altitude sickness, and seawater consumption, among others. Rascher's experiments were often fatal and caused immense suffering to the prisoners involved.
Rascher was eventually arrested by the SS in 1944 for his unethical medical practices and was executed in 1945. His experiments were seen as some of the most heinous and inhumane carried out during the Holocaust, and he is considered a war criminal for his actions.
